flu outbreak again to infect human............AGAIN!!

just feel weird why some experts said that this flu virus (H1N1) may cause an outbreak worldwide
every 100 years????!##@#@? counted from 1918.

Previously is SARS, then avian flu outbreak in Hong Kong, China... and M'sia also have some avian flu cases reported (for dead birds found only ) due to the migratory birds which fly to M'sia.

New influenza outbreak recently 2009 is originated from swine influenza. After that mutation occurred and now this strain can be transmitted from human to human instead of pig to human only.

150 and above Mexicans reported died due to this SIV and is believed will be increasing. The first case reported in Asia is a Korean girl suspected to be infected after came back from Mexico.

Highly contagious with high mortality flu outbreak...
Antiviral agent used, Tamiflu, also seems have limited effectiveness against this virus...
However, hope that this outbreak can be stopped ASAP.

Walao... Last time hear a dozen died. Now already over a hundred. Caught up to Nipah virus outbreak in Malaysia liao. Brother, the info so long ah. Lazy to read. So the antigenicity is due to H1N1 confirmed?

Those who does not have regular contact with swine is unlikely to have immunity against swine flu. Let's go visit pig farm, shall we?

For high risk ppl....
You should:
•separate yourself from others, keeping yourself at least 1 metre in distance from others.
•Cover your mouth and nose.
•Wash your hands with soap and water thoroughly and often.
•Improve the air flow where you stays. Use doors and windows to take advantage of breezes.
•Keep the environment clean with readily available household cleaning agents.
•Rest and take plenty of fluids.
•Finally, QUARANTINE yourself when you suspect yourself being infected! and seek for medical advice.
Usually they also will quarantine you.

A man died and 12 others are in fever with serious condition following a suspected outbreak of bacterial meningitis at a training camp in the southern state of Malacca! 85 ppl have been quarantined!

Fortunately not J.E / Nipah come again during this period. If not, worst if 2009 H1N1 + Nipah in M'sia..

But this bacterial meningitis is air transmissible.

As confirmed by Ministry of Health, first H1N1 case in Malaysia was detected from a male student who had just returned from the US.

He was quarantined in Hospital Sungai Buloh now and is under observation.

My friend is also coming back from US today...

Spreading of H1N1 started in Universities 2 months after the first H1N1 case in M'sia.
UUM > UPM > UKM > ....

Many undergrad students started to escape from UPM after received the announcement of H1N1 in UPM..

If you are infected by A H1N1, doesn't mean that you sure die.

Only patient who developed pneumonia is the high risk patient. Hence, anyone has fever, cought, sore throat, running nose + difficulty in breathing....

Kindly report to hospital. Then, they will diagnose and supply the antiviral drugs if the patient developed pneumonia.
